The Graphics Lab
The Graphics labs at Valencia Community College are comprised of state-of-the-art equipment which enables students the ability to work on projects with industry standard equipment and software. Labs currently use G5 Macintosh Computers. Computers are installed with the most recent industry standard software including: OS X 10.5 , Quark Xpress 6.5(or 7), Adobe Creative Suite 3, Final Cut Express, iMovie, iDvd, Firefox, Safari, Netscape, and Explorer. Graphics labs are located on East, West, and Osceola Campus.
Lab Policies
There is absolutely no eating or drinking allowed in the lab. All cell phones and pagers must be off or in silent mode so that they do not disturb classes or other students during open lab time.
Printing at the Graphics Lab
Currently the graphics lab has a black & white laser printer, a color laser printer, and an Epson Inkjet printer available for students to utilize for printing projects. Students must purchase print cards each printer if they require the use of printers in the graphics lab.
Black & White Laser Print card - $8 per semester
Purchase of this card entitles the student to use the Black & White Laser printer for course projects. This card should only be purchased once per semester. The card expires at the end of the semester if it is purchased. Max print size: 8 1/2" x 11" or 11" x 17"
Color Print card - $1 for 1 print or $4 for 5 prints or $7 for 10
Purchase of this card entitles the student to use the Color Laser printer for course projects. This card expires once the quantity of color prints are used. This print card does not authorize unlimited printing of projects. Purchase of this card and the price of the card is dependent on the number of prints required. Max print size: 8 1/2" x 11" or 11" x 17"
Available Lab Hours
It is suggested that students review the available lab hours prior to coming to the lab. Reviewing the available lab hours will ensure students do not take a trip to the lab when the lab is closed or when lab hours are not available.

West Campus Lab Hours
Located building 5 room 130.
Monday ....................................... 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Tuesday ....................................... 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Wednesday ................................... 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Thursday........................................10:00 am - 6:00 pm
When west campus Graphics Lab is unavailable students may use the MAC lab located on west campus in the Library - 1st floor. The software we have is: CS3 Design Premium, Quark 7, Final Draft all in OS X 10.5

Osceola Campus Lab Hours
The Osceola Graphics Lab is located in building 2 room 115. OSC is running Adobe Illustrator,Photoshop and InDesign CS3, Flash 8, Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8 .When the Osceola Graphics lab is unavailable, students can use mac computers at the Learning Center in Bld.3
