Meg Curtiss an Orlando native, and sixth of eight children grew up in an environment of open thought and creative expression. She spent many years prior to high school trying out various career paths, including working towards college degrees in Environmental Sciences and Elementary Education, eventually landing in the Marketing and Public Relations arena. Although it didn't satisfy her need of artistic self expression it did open her eyes to the idea of becoming a graphic designer. Working along side graphic designers Meg was able to recognize the blend of creative artistic expression and her interest in technology.
Meg entered the Graphics Technology program at Valencia Community College were she earned her A.S. Degree. While a student Meg was an active member of the Graphic Design Club, a student member of the Orlando Creative Club, was awarded twice in Valencia's Juried Student Art Shows, as well as, VCC Humanities Department Scholarship Award. Meg also worked as a Lab Assistant in VCC East Campus Graphics Lab.
Since graduating Meg has worked as a print and web graphic designer, Creative Director and as a freelance Graphic Designer. She has been teaching at Valencia as an Adjunct Instructor off and on since Fall 2001, and has taught Computer Animation, Web Design and Digital Media and Design.
