This course will help students prepare their portfolio, refine their resume, prepare a self-promo piece, and gain valuable interviewing skills. Students must pass with a minimum grade of 70% on a timed competency exam which measures their ability to design and utilize necessary software to produce either a printed publication or website with files supplied. Students should only register for this course if they feel competent with Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark Xpress for the Graphic Design Specialization or Flash and Dreamweaver for the Interactive Design. Culminating the course, students will participate in a mock interview conducted by a panel of professionals. Thus individuals should only register for the course once they feel they have a minimum of ten strong potential pieces in either print, multimedia or a combination.
