Adobe Illustrator

(3 Credit Hours/4 Contact Hours)

Prerequisites: ART 1300C or ART 1301C and a minimum grades of C in GRA 1142 or in both GRA 1500 and GRA 1800 or departmental approval.

A course covering the concepts of electronic publishing and the ability to create and manipulate full color graphic illustrations. Students will receive training on Adobe Illustrator or the most current Encapsulated Postscript illustration program standard in the industry. Class lecture will be supported with hand-outs and demonstrations.

This course concentrates on Adobe Illustrator with both the student and professional in mind. The focus is on the more advanced capabilities of this program including output, using process, spot color systems, and usage with other programs including Adobe Photoshop.
